The rudder is designed in such a way that it is not possible for the blade to turn over when the boat is moving backwards, so that the rudder lines cannot get tangled.
A downhaul is not required for this rudder, so there is one less control line on the boat. The function is taken over by an integrated spring; when the boat touches the ground, the blade is lifted against the spring force so that the rudder and the boat are not damaged.
