Sailing Canoe Malecite with em² Mistral Sail Rig

The Lettmman Malecite 490 is delivered ready for sailing, completely rigged with one of our rigs and the em2 sailing rudder. This Canadian canoe rigging combination is a good choice for sailing. You sit on the outboard seat and steer with the tiller. We only offer the DCS version with two benches for sailing, you can find the possible colours here: Lettmann.
 
Sailing preparation
To sail with your Malecite Canadian canoe, select the sailing preparation option. Then your boat is directly prepared for sailing.

• Equipment of Equipment of the rudder system with tiller on both sides, rudder-fitting and em2 Sailing rudder
• Glued-in centre rail for stable mounting of seats and mast
• Change of seat positions (a third seat is not possible)

The sail preparation afterwards is more complex and expensive.
 
Sails
We currently offer two rigs of different sizes for the Malecite 490. The Mistral with 4.9m2 sail area is well suited for sailing beginners. If you choose the Albatross with 6.0m2 sail area, you should already have sailing experience. You can find the description here: Mistral and the Albatross.
 
Outrigger
The outrigger gives you the necessary safety when sailing, it is mounted in just a few steps. You can choose between different floats. You can find more information here: Outrigger.
