This 120-liter buoyancy bag provides your folding or touring kayak with crucial extra safety – especially when sailing in wind and waves. Made from clear, durable PVC, the bag is lightweight, compact, and inflates quickly with a hand pump. It is placed in the bow or stern of your sailing kayak, wedges itself naturally into the hull, and stays securely in place – with no additional straps required.
When sailing a kayak, extra buoyancy is essential: after a capsize, the boat fills with water, freeboard drops, and every wave washes back in – making bailing nearly impossible. This also applies to folding kayaks with inflatable side tubes, as those only prevent sinking, not flooding. These float bags raise the freeboard, keep waves out, and allow fast, safe bailing.
