Rudder blade em² Sailing for SmartTrack
Fits the SmartTrack original rudder housing.
This rudder blade has a perfect flow shape.
The production is very special and complex: the weighed and heated plastic is pressed into the preheated mould with more than 300 tons.
The high fibre content makes it bent-resistant so that it can withstand the high forces of sailing.
It is very long and projects deep into the water to keep you in control and on course in swell.
The pre-balanced design keeps steering forces low and rudder action high.
We have a batch of PP (polypropylene) that is slightly wavy. We offer these as second choice.
SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) are the first choice rudder blades. The material is much more expensive and the holding time in the press is 10 times longer. On the other hand, rudder blades made of SMC have a smoother surface, are straight and have even higher strength values.
