The Summerwind KII is prepared for sailing and equipped with the em² Sailing rudder. Rigged with the em2 Mistral rig, it is a very good combination for sailing beginners. A kayak for real sailing fun! You sit comfortably in the boat and steer with your feet. The jib and mainsail sheets on the entry-level model are hand-operated. So you can simply to slag when the wind blows, to take pressure off the sails. The sheet clamping SET offers you better comfort, because you can cover the sheets to have your hands free. However, this is only possible in combination with the Sport Line outboard seat. This gives you the opportunity to sit comfortably on the side deck and ride out. Additional safety is provided by the optional outrigger for the em² rig, which can be mounted in two easy steps.
And what we consider to be the most important argument in favor of a mizzen.
The mizzen increases safety when sailing.
By tightening the mizzen and to slag the main and jib, you automatically shoot up and your boat remains stable in this position. This gives you the opportunity to relax for a moment when things get really rough, think about what to do and have your hands free to get your boat ready. The em2 mizzen ideally complements our Mistral or Albatros rig, but can also be combined with other rigs.
